This is the comprehensive checklist our inspectors use on pre-purchase inspections.

Exterior & Body

• Panels, gaps, dents, scratches, previous paintwork
• Evidence of accident repair or frame damage
• Rust/corrosion on visible and accessible areas
• Glass, lights, mirrors, exterior trim
• Wheels, tires, tread depth

Interior

• Seats, carpets, headliner, trim
• Odors (smoke, mildew, fluid leaks)
• Windows, locks, switches, gauges
• Infotainment, radio, speakers
• HVAC (A/C and heat)

Engine Bay & Mechanical

• Fluids (level & condition)
• Belts, hoses, visible leaks
• Battery & visible wiring
• Cold start, idle, abnormal noises

Undercarriage

• Frame rails & structural points
• Suspension components & leaks
• Exhaust routing & condition
• Rust, damage, impact points

Road Test (Where Permitted)

• Acceleration & shifting
• Steering feel & alignment
• Braking performance & noises
• Ride quality & suspension behavior

Diagnostics

• OBD-II scan
• Dashboard warning lights
